What you need to obtain a CPL

The CPL process

Start the CPL course within CG Aviation’s 141 Training syllabus with a focus on honing your flying and navigation skills. Build upon what you learned in your RPL and PPL training to become a commercial pilot.

You will need to sit a 20-30min interview with an assessor who will score your English proficiency out of 6. Minimum of 4 is required.

You will need to sit and pass seven seperate CPL theory exams, designed to test your knowledge in different fields of Aviation knowledge. These exams are Perfomance, Navigation, Air Law, Aerodynamics, Meteorology, Human Factors and Aircraft General Knowledge.

This is the final stage of the license, requiring you to fly a Navigational flight with an examiner who will test your flying abilities against the part 61 Manual Of Standards.
