What you need to obtain a CPL
- At least 18 years old
- Be able to speak english to certain level
- Undertake a medical test and obtain a medical certificate
- Pass the aeronautical exams

The CPL process
Start the CPL course within CG Aviation’s 141 Training syllabus with a focus on honing your flying and navigation skills. Build upon what you learned in your RPL and PPL training to become a commercial pilot.
You will need to sit a 20-30min interview with an assessor who will score your English proficiency out of 6. Minimum of 4 is required.
You will need to sit and pass seven seperate CPL theory exams, designed to test your knowledge in different fields of Aviation knowledge. These exams are Perfomance, Navigation, Air Law, Aerodynamics, Meteorology, Human Factors and Aircraft General Knowledge.
This is the final stage of the license, requiring you to fly a Navigational flight with an examiner who will test your flying abilities against the part 61 Manual Of Standards.

Where do I have to go for my training
CG Aviation offers fully flexible studying and flying options personalized to your location and availability. For Example: Flying can be conducted at your most local airfield and studying can be in-person visits, mutual set locations & online theory options.
Will my training be consistent through one instructor?
Yes, CG avaiation is a single pilot 141 operation, which allows for consistency and personalized training.
What aircraft can we use?
Any aircraft that is relevant to training being conducted can be used. This means any aircraft that are hireable and can be utilized for trianing.
How are the quotes determined?
Using a range of factors such as location, frequency, availabilities, aircraft and your personal time frame.
Where is ground theory and briefings conducted?
Ground theory can either be conducted at your discretion, your personal residence, mutually agreed suitable location or online classes.
Can I use my own aircraft?
Yes you can, If the aircraft meets the standard for the particular training required.
How does the payment for the course work?
You can either do a payment upfront for the entire course or you can pay installments throughout the course. Payments can be processed through Electronic-Fund-Transfer (EFT) or Cash.
